A man credited with revolutionizing the real estate industry in India, Sunil Mantri is a man on a mission to change the way the real estate sector functions across the country.  A man who has taken a semi-stagnant industry and turned it on its head; he is known for his insatiable appetite to bring about this change.

Born in a thriving business family, which held the national distributorship rights for many of the leading textile brands in the country; Sunil Mantri was expected to take over the business, as is the case with most family run businesses in the country. Instead though, he decided to carve a career for himself away from the business interests that his family had already established. He started out in the financial investments sector, initially as a stock broker, though it did not prevent him from using his natural entrepreneurial instincts. He noticed an opportunity to invest in the burgeoning real estate sector in India and ventured into the sector, initially as an investor.  A few properties outside Pune and one in Karad, Maharashtra were his first investments in the sector and led to the establishment of Mantri Realty, in 1986.

Mantri Realty as an organization is one that exemplifies all the values that the founder and managing director Sunil Mantri tires to exude. The brand motto – “Turning Dreams Into Reality” is one that inspires confidence in potential buyers as they resonate with the values of the company. The company has completed over 200 projects and provided homes to over twenty thousand families, bringing smiles across each one of them. Sunil Mantri is also a firm believer in the concept of green housing, which is why almost all of the properties developed by Mantri Realty are certified by the IGBC as green developments, thereby minimizing the detrimental impact on nature. Affordability is also a key factor when houses are developed by Mantri Realty.  Each home developed by the company is created keeping the end user in mind. This involves understanding the mentality and sensibilities of the buyer in terms of design, execution and pricing.

Sunil Mantri, is also the current president of NAREDCO, a regulatory body for the real estate industry in India, which features members from eminent developers, senior government officials and members of the public. The organization convenes to help draft and decide on policy to govern the real estate sector in the country.     He also participates actively in the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) , ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India), MCHI (Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry), IMC (Indian Merchants’ Chambers), CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) National Committee on Real Estate & Housing, etc. He has also been a member of various government task forces, panels and expert forums and has presided over seminars and meetings at both the national and international level.
