The congested bylanes and crumbling structures still exist in the walled city which proudly is accepted by the Delhites as their esteemed past. With continual invasion of immigrants from many other cities and an increase in population, Delhi is facing issues of traffic blockage, accommodation, water and electricity. Delhi’s population has increased up to 40 percent in the last decade and current population stands around 14 million. Since the state could not uphold the budding demands of increasing populace, more residential as well as commercial space, it was crucial to have the expansion of adjoining regions. As a result, NCR was developed called as the National Capital Region. The satellite cities including Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida have shared the large load of Delhi simply by offering more space for residential and commercial properties.

Malls and shopping culture has changed the whole way individuals used to shop previously in Delhi. The night clubs in this city are open till late at night and you could eat, drink together while enjoying music and dance on the dance floor. The best dance clubs of Delhi are found at Maurya Sheraton (Ghunghroos), Taj Palace, Park Hotel, Hyatt Regency and Le Meridien.

World class hotels and restaurants are other great additions to the new living style of Delhi people with popular chains such as Pizza Hut, Nirula’s and McDonalds being the hot favorite amongst the Delhi people. You don't need to search for a restaurant every time to have anything for your appetite as there are lots of "take away" eateries that are equally excellent in quality in Delhi.
