Curtis Cripe: Cutting Edge Programs

Curtis Cripe is the Research Director at The NTL Group, Inc., in Scottsdale, Arizona. The NTL Group is a consortium of like-minded researchers and healthcare professionals whose mission is to help people who are struggling with addictions, traumatic brain injuries, and neurodevelopmental delays.

Combining neuro-engineering principles with neuroscience technologies, Dr. Curtis Cripe and his colleagues have developed cutting-edge programs, processes, and cognitive rehabilitative techniques for those with brain-based dysfunctions.

"NeuroEval, NeuroCodeX, and NeuroCoach provide a complete end-to-end system of problem identification, which leads to the proper solution identification for brain based problems," Curtis Cripe explains. "NeuroEval collects brain processing data through neuro-imaging technologies and cognitive abilities data with cognitive assessments. NeuroCodeX analyzes this data to distill the raw data and numbers into an easy to understand summary of what the individual brain looks like and at what level it is functioning as compared to normative data. The Report of Findings offers descriptions of each brain system, its functioning ability, and how those brain systems interact independently or with other systems." Based on the Report of Findings, Curtis Cripe says, specific programs are designed with individualized protocols intended to target each clients' specific needs.

The NTL Group processes and programs can be used independently or to supplement other therapies and therapeutic programs. Past clients speak to the effectiveness of Curtis Cripe and his approach. "I didn't realize what I had lost until Dr. Cripe helped me find it again," said a New York client. "Thanks for saving my life with your program, Dr. Cripe," said a client from Belgium. "I was feeling suicidal for four months...After doing the neurocoach program for a month my suicidal thoughts and feelings went away...after 1 year on the program I am working again and smiling and laughing again."

Dr. Curtis Cripe has a varied professional background, all of it within a specific scientific discipline. He graduated with a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering and a master of engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University.  He earned an additional graduate degree and a PhD in health psychology and behavioral medicine at Northcentral University.

Dr. Curtis Cripe is an active contributor to the advancement of knowledge in his field, and has published work in a number of peer-reviewed journals. He also co-authored a chapter related to cerebral palsy, autism, and other learning disabilities in The Healing Power of Neurofeedback. More recently he contributed a chapter on addiction and recovery in Psychology's New Design Science: Theory and Research, published in July 2014 and available in both trade paper and e-book formats.
