Banaras Hindu University conducts the BHU Pre-Medical Test for admitting candidates to various Medical programmes offered by the Institute of Medical Sciences. Medical aspirants vying for admissions to the MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) courses of IMS, have to clear the competitive medical entrance examination to qualify for admissions to the relevant medical course. The Pre-Medical test is conducted in two stages viz., BHU PMT Screening and BHU PMT Main. For admissions to the MBBS course, candidates have to appear for both PMT Screening and PMT Main. For admissions to the remaining medical courses however, candidates can directly appear for the Main Exam of the Pre-Medical test. The Pre-Medical Entrance Test will comprise of three sections with questions from the subjects of Physics,Chemistry and Biology. The syllabus and test pattern of BHU PMT 2015 has been summarized below, for the reference of students.
BHU PMT 2015 Test Pattern:
The screening test of BHU PMT will have a single objective type question paper. Examinees will have to solve a total of 200 questions. The question paper will be divided between four subjects viz., Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. Examinees will have to attempt 50 questions from each subject. A maximum of 100 marks will be allotted for each subject.
The BHU PMT 2015 Main Exam will also have a single objective type question paper, comprising of two separate sections. Both the sections of the question paper will comprise of multiple choice questions only. Examinees will be provided with four answer options for each question. There will be a subject-wise division of questions. The questions will be collectively categorized into four groups under the subjects of Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. There will be 25 questions under each subject group.
All the questions of the Pre-Medical test will carry two marks each. A penalty of one mark will be imposed for every incorrect answer that the candidate indicates.
BHU PMT 2015 Syllabus:
The syllabus of the Pre-Medical test will cover fundamental topics from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
