Goa has in the longest time that I know of spelled ‘party’ ‘delight’ and ‘pleasure’, probably that is why I keep hearing from my friends all the time of hitting Goa and its exclusive treat Baga beach all the time, and it is from them that I have formed a very coherent idea of the best places to visit in and near Baga beach which lies north of Goa. If you are heading to Goa for an upcoming holiday with friends or family do not give Baga beach a miss, because if you are in Goa and haven’t seen Baga then my dear you are lacking in much essence of this Union territory!
First things first; how do you get there?
Well just about one hour drive away from the beach is the international airport of Goa where flights from far off lands land and even from the major metropolitan cities of India. You could also travel by train, you could catch a train from Margao in Mumbai (locales). Baga beach has transportation facilities operational in full swing as you find many rickshaws and autos taking you to and fro the beach.

If you want to explore more than just the Baga beach after having tried all its water sports like parasailing, boating, fishing, wind surfing, sunbathing, etc., then you may easily get out to nearby tourist attractions, the tourists do have an added perk of landing at Baga beach because it is surrounded by two other beautiful and happening beaches of Goa, Anjuna and Calangute beach, so that you could just hop and reach the adjacent beaches and spend a weekend or so there.
Aguada fort is one of the best places to visit near Baga beach, here you would get to see the architectural excellence of the Portuguese which was built in the colonial era of the same over the Goanis.
Shopping means heading to Wednesday bazar at Anjuna and Saturday night bazar at Arpora, the concept of flea market in Goa is a very famous one and you could shop to your heart’s content from the stalls that is put up by vendors from each or so of the states of India, you practically get everything in these stalls, clothes, handicrafts, spices and much more. Shopaholics would swear these flea markets to be of the best places to visit near Baga beach.
Party people have a reason to rejoice! Club Tito is one of the best night clubs which will get you grooving! Even club Cubana is a famous party hangout where you could dance and swim all night, till wee hours of the dawn! Even café Mambo is one of the best nocturnal and party places to visit near Baga beach.
Baga beach has some of the best restaurants and hotels to stay by it suits the monetary considerations of all ranges, you may find luxury hotels to medium priced rooms and even cheap priced hotels if you are low on budget as far as accommodation is concerned, there is something for someone always! So let your hair down and party!
