Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), is a state level exam which is conducted for admission into colleges of Karnataka. An Entrance Exam is conducted for granting admission into undergraduate and postgraduate Engineering and Medical courses. Under it almost, 150 engineering colleges, 14 medical colleges and 25 dental colleges will be covered. Exam is a huge opportunity to receive admission into some of the best colleges, for higher studies, in Karnataka. 

Exam, is conducted every year, and this year it will be held on 10 May 2015. So far, only exam date has been announced by the conducting body. It is expected that soon application form and information brochure, for the same will also be issued. Form can be filled by all the candidates but admission will be granted only to eligible ones. So, it advised that candidates check the eligibility criteria, before applying. Laid down eligibility criteria of COMEDK 2015 is as below:

1.Candidate must be a citizen of India.
2.Candidates must have passed 10+2, from a recognized institute, with at least 3.45% marks. However, the same criteria for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates is 40%.
4.Candidates should have studied qualifying exam with Mathematics/ Biology and 5.Chemistry and Physics, along English and should have passed in each subject as well.

Eligible candidates will be able to fill application form through the official website, when it will be released. Forms will not be hosted anywhere else. To fill COMEDK 2015 application form, candidates must visit the official website and seek appropriate link to fill the application form. Before filling form, candidate must check all the given instructions to fill it, properly, and then should proceed. Then candidates will have to enter all the required details in the form. No area of it must be left unfilled. Candidates are warned that misleading information might harm their candidature forever. Also, to leave no loop holes, all the details must be verified thoroughly, before submitting.

Once application form will be submitted candidates will be asked to remit application fee.  Amount to be remitted will be around Rs. 1200 (for Engineering) and 1500 (For Medical). Fee can be paid online or offline. To pay application fee online, candidates might remit it either through Net Banking or Debit/ Credit Card. To pay the same through offline medium, candidates will have to generate Demand Draft, in favor of “COMEDK”, payable at Bengaluru.

After submitting application form and fee, candidates must generate a hard copy of registration page. Also, while submitting form, a unique registration number will be generated, candidates must retain this number safely, it will be required in further admission process.

Those who will submit form and fee in time, will be issued admit card. Admit card is an important document. It will be required while entering the exam the hall and if candidates fail to produce it, they will not be allowed to enter exam hall or write the exam. Candidates are advised to keep it safely even when the exam is over, as it might be required at any stage.
